In the background, left, a large house. Everything adds to the suggestion of a lover’s garden: the people, in pairs at the table; the fountain (‘fountain of love’); the house(a lover’s palace). The lover’s garden has a message: do not become too attached to overindulgence worldly love, for this is only transient.
