Portrait of Cornelia Vooght Portrait of Cornelia Vooght

The portrait of Cornelia Vooght belongs with the portrait of Van der Meer. The wall on one portrait seems to continue on the other. It is apparent from x-rays that Cornelia’s face was painted over another face, just as in the Van der Meer portrait. It is not clear whether Frans Hals painted the faces. There is no coat of arms in a sketch that was based on this portrait by Jan van der Sprang in 1762.
