Juergen Teller is opposed to the cliché images of artificial beauty and glamour, and in the ’90s he shook up traditional fashion photography. This picture of the pregnant Kate Moss is a good example, as the celebrated top model is portrayed without any frills, in a setting where she does not seem to belong. Teller has a ruthless, slightly overexposed and very personal style of photography. He refuses to distinguish between his commercial and his autobiographically-tinted autonomous work.
