Erkka Nissinen (Jyväskylä, 1975) is a Finnish video artist. He studied at The Slade School of Fine Art in London and obtained a Master of Fine Arts degree at the Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki. In 2007 Erkka Nissinen studied at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten (‘National Academy of Visual Arts’) in Amsterdam.

Erkka Nissinen’s work has been shown at Ellen de Bruijne Projects gallery in Amsterdam, Frans Hals Museum – Hal in Haarlem, Helsinki Art Museum’s Kluuvi Gallery, and 1646 in The Hague. In 2011, he won the illy prize during Art Rotterdam and in 2013 the AVEK Award for media art. In 2017, together with artist Nathaniel Mellors, he created a multimedia installation: The Aalto Natives. This was shown at the Venice Biennale, and was curated by former curator Xander Karskens.
