Hendrick Gerritsz Pot
Hendrick Gerritsz Pot Hendrick Gerritsz Pot

Hendrick Gerritsz Pot (Amsterdam, 1580/1581 – Amsterdam, 1657) was a Dutch Golden Age (miniature) painter and draughtsman from North-Holland. He worked in Haarlem for most of his life, but returned to his hometown of Amsterdam in 1650, of which he became an official citizen in that same year.

Just like Frans Hals, he was also apprenticed to Karel van Mander, probably before he worked in Haarlem. During his career, Hendrick Pot painted mainly genre scenes, portraits and various types of (vanitas) still lifes.
