Pieter Gerritsz van Roestraten (Haarlem, 1630 – London, 1700) was a Dutch Golden Age painter and draughtsman from North-Holland. Although he started his career in Haarlem, he spent most of his life living and working in London.

He was known to the artistic Hals family, and was not only a pupil of Frans Hals, but also his son-in-law, after having marred Hals’ daughter Adriaentje in 1654. Pieter van Roestraten was a still life painter, specialising in both floral and vanitas still lifes. Sometimes, however, he also went on trips and painted a number of genre pieces and portraits.
