The Frans Hals Museum has had a tradition of decorating its exhibition rooms and corridors in the spring with floral bouquets and other flower arrangements. Part of the background of this tradition is that Haarlem, situated as it is in the bulb district, has long been known as a ‘flower city’.
The flowers and bouquets in the museum are arranged and tended by Friends of the Frans Hals Museum.
