The Kennemer Lyceum will be 100 years old in 2020. On Friday, November 8, the kick-off of the celebration of this anniversary took place. This was also the start of an intensive collaboration between the Kennemer Lyceum and the Frans Hals Museum.
During the kick-off event, students were challenged to connect the present and the past by making tableaux vivants based on the collection of the Frans Hals Museum. The Kennemer Lyceum considers it its task to offer education in a creative and inspiring way, whereby students are challenged to discover and apply their talents. The Frans Hals Museum would like to introduce as many students as possible from Haarlem and the surrounding area to the world-famous art collection of the city and the work of the name giver of the Frans Hals Museum.
The Lustrum Kick-off is just the start of a more intensive collaboration. Together we are working on a long-term program. The current and future curricula of art education in a broad sense and history are combined with the possibilities that the museum’s collection and activities offer. We are looking forward to a productive and creative collaboration.
