NEW CHALLENGE FOR DEPUTY DIRECTOR DENISE DE BOER
NEW CHALLENGE FOR DEPUTY DIRECTOR DENISE DE BOER NEW CHALLENGE FOR DEPUTY DIRECTOR DENISE DE BOER

And she is about to leave the Frans Hals Museum

After almost five years as our deputy director, Denise de Boer will start a new challenge in Almere. She was asked by the City of Almere and the Province of Flevoland to work on the development of a complete new art museum. She will start on the first of March. Denise is given the task of translating a plan into an actual museum, including the organisation and building.

Mixed feelings

Denise: “My departure is one with mixed feelings. I am very proud of what Ann Demeester and I and the team have managed to put down in a short time: a renewed Frans Hals Museum with contemporary programming, an attractive corporate identity, a detailed renovation plan and own income that has since risen to 45% . I have enjoyed working here and am going to miss the dynamics and colleagues. The Frans Hals Museum is an institution of international allure and has enormous potential to be able to do even more for visitors and residents of Haarlem.”

Margot Gerené will cover Denise’s duties for the time being.
