What’s your view of Haarlem?

Participate in de photo competition!

In the exhibition Views of Haarlem (22th September  2023– 7th January 2024), you can see how artists in the 17th  century look at Haarlem and how they showed the city at its best.

How do you see the city? Is Haarlem simply beautiful for you, or is there more to tell and see? As artists in the 17th century depicted the most important places, we ask you to photograph your view. And thus indicate what makes Haarlem special for you.

The most beautiful, funniest, most surprising photos are giving  a place in the exhibition Views of Haarlem. And of course the best wins a prize.

Would you like a place of honor in our online museum now?

Share your photo on Facebook or Instagram with @franshalsmuseum and we will repost the best photos.

How can you participate?

Watch the video above and create your own favorite View of Haarlem. You can do this with your camera, phone or tablet. Send your photo by January 7, 2024, using the form via the ‘participate’ button.

Before you participate, read the promotion conditions first. Are you not yet 18 years old? First ask permission from an adult to send your photo. After the exhibition, the jury selects the very best photo.

What can you win?

The most beautiful, funniest, most surprising photos are given a place in the exhibition Views of Haarlem.

After the exhibition, the very best photo will also win a private tour for 4 people through the Frans Hals Museum.
