HAL: A 13-minute walk from Haarlem railway station. Upon leaving the station, head in the direction of the city centre, walking down Kruisweg and Kruisstraat, and through Barteljorisstraat until you reach the city’s central square, Grote Markt.
HOF: A 7-minute walk from our Hal location on Grote Markt. Walk down Grote Houtstraat until you reach the junction with Gedempte Oude Gracht. Turn left at the traffic lights, and take the second street on the right, Groot Heiligland.
Bus 3: get off at bus stop, Frans Hals Museum.
Bus 2, 73 and 300: get off at bus stop, Verwulft. Then, it’s a 4-minute walk via Gedempte Oude Gracht to Groot Heiligland (our HOF location), or a 3-minute walk via Grote Houtstraat to Grote Markt (our HAL location).
Bus 2, 73: get off at bus stop, Turfmarkt. Then, it’s a 4-minute walk via Kampervest and Gasthuisvest to Groot Heiligland (our HOF location)
Intercity buses (50, 80, 340, 356, 346): get off at bus stop, Tempelierstraat. Then, it’s a 5-minute walk to our HOF location via Houtplein, Grote Houtbrug and Gasthuisvest, or a 10-minute walk to our HAL location via Houtplein and Grote Houtstraat.
The Houtplein and De Kamp car parks are both within 5 minutes walking distance from the HOF location. The Appelaar car park is a 3-minute walk from the HAL location.
Cars displaying a disabled parking permit can be parked for free in the public disabled parking spaces as well as the normal parking spaces in Haarlem. The card is not valid in the car parks.
Location HOF and HAL are largely accessible for wheelchairs. You can also reserve a (pushable) wheelchair via meet@franshalsmuseum.nl, we will happily reserve one for your visit.
Attendents of people with disabilities receive free entrance and assistance dogs are welcome.
