Flowers and Flower Paintings in the Frans Hals Museum
Traditionally from the end of March the Frans Hals Museum is filled with beautifully arranged floral bouquets in special vases. This years theme was ‘Flowers in the paintings of Erik Andriesse (1957-1993)’. Scattered throughout the museum were twelve paintings by Andriesse, canvases of sometimes colossal size with sunflowers, amaryllises and lilies.
