Kasper Bosmans’ series of gouache-painted panels, entitled Legend: The Words and Days, draws inspiration from different traditions and tales from Ancient Greek, Egyptian and European mythology. The colourful A4 paintings portray their own visual idiom, which refers to medieval heraldry and religious symbolism. This series of paintings focuses on the cultural-historical stories of the crane and the ibis: two species of bird that have a symbolic meaning in different civilisations and cultures.
