In this film, Tracy Emin delivers a heartbreaking account of her troubled life; a life that she has made the subject of her art. She has experienced just about all the misery you can experience: an oppressive youth in the run-down seaside town of Margate, abused from the age of eight, raped at thirteen, heavy sexual humiliation, an abortion at 27, miscarriage, alcohol addiction, depression and a suicide attempt. A particularly moving story that she reveals to the viewer through her art.
