What the Heart Wants is about the relationship between humans and technology and the increasing influence technology has on the way feelings and sentiments are nurtured and exchanged between the two. This applies to the simple interfaces and personal devices we use every day, as well as to the overwhelming amount of information to which we are exposed. The world of What the Heart Wants represents what it could mean to be a human in a future where a single system, which controls such aspects of our lives, has unlimited power. This film was co-produced by the Frans Hals Museum and was purchased for its museum collection.
